Open Mentorship is a platform that connects mentees, who are looking for guidance and advice, to mentors who are looking to help the community and guide them towards achieving their goals.

Role and Responsibilities
I was a member of the UX Research and UI Design team. My responsibility was creating the user interface for the OpenMentorship website from discovery to making high-fidelity prototypes.
Phase 1: Discovery & Research
I conducted internal research and competitive analysis to understand the needs of people who seek mentorship. Additionally, understand a mentors perspective on offering mentorship.
Phase 2: Design, Test & Iterate
I initially developed wireframes and prototypes in greyscale while making key design decisions. Conducted a usability think-aloud on the prototype and then made iterations based on the feedback.
People who have no intention to offer mentorship are often spammed with such requests on Linkedin.
People in search of mentors often find it challenging to find mentorship opportunities that best suit their interests and needs.
Mentors and mentees expressed that the mentorship process often lacks structure. Example: time management, defined goals, pre-set expectations.
